Classic Golden Apple Pie
A timeless favorite with a golden twist! Crisp, sweet apples come together with warm spices and Golden Wing® Barley Milk for a perfectly tender and delicious filling wrapped in a flaky crust.

Ingredients
2 premade or homemade pie crusts
6–7 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
¾ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup light brown sugar
1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ tsp salt
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
¼ cup Golden Wing® Barley Milk
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp butter, cubed
1 large egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
1 Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place one pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
2 In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, flour, Golden Wing® Barley Milk, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
3 Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie crust. Dot with small cubes of butter.
4 Cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges by pinching them together. Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
5 Brush the top crust with a lightly beaten egg for a golden finish.
6 Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Cover the edges with foil if they brown too quickly.
7 Cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
